Welcome to Respecting Living Beings of SEAL Compass for Stage 4 students!
The SEAL Compass is a systematic curriculum composed of 12 stages, of 4 courses each, where the mastery of 5 vital sets of competencies is achieved through a groundbreaking learning approach, placing human development at its core, unleashing strengths and elevating their academia performance. This program is designed to harness students' strengths in various aspects of life, encouraging students to accomplish challenging projects that promote metacognition development, strengths awareness, social and emotional intelligence, and positive habits, further developing their executive functions.

Below are the detailed competencies objectives of the course:
Metacognition module:
- Recognize different subject and their basic characteristics.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how recognizing subject characteristics contributes to effective learning.
- Understand the importance of task completion and deadlines.
Strengths Exploration module:
- Understand the meaning of three different strengths areas (reasoning, elementary, networking, thinking, and generating ideas) and practice articulating their thoughts with guidance.
- Understand different learning activities throughout the lesson that are related to strengths.
- Analyze instances where they have used reasoning, elementary thinking, generating ideas, and networking skills.
- Articulate detailed observations about their strengths and areas for improvement, and practice breaking down tasks into smaller steps.
Social and Emotional Intelligence module:
- Students will explore the link between human actions and environmental impact, collaborate with peers to explore diverse perspectives on tackling environmental issues and promoting sustainable lifestyles.
Habitology module:
- Understand the habits of appreciating biodiversity.
- Understand the 5Rs.
- Know the personal behaviors and more global issues related to waste.
Strength-Based Project Management module:
- Introduce students to the concept of fabric waste and how to reuse it.
- Develop a system to promote clothing/fabric donations and craft traditional costumes from used materials
- Collect data and create an empathy map based on the problems and needs of the users.
- Define and create a problem statement.
- Draw a solution.
- Present the project plan.

* each Stage is composed of 4 courses that need to be completed in order to move to the next Stage.
* each Stage is equivalent to a grade level, therefore, Stage 1 is equivalent to grade 1, stage 2 is equivalent to grade 2 and so on.
